Pete and I were invited by one of our paper roll manufacturers last Friday to visit their facility and see one of our printed paper roll jobs coming off the press.
The rolls are for Wireless Terminal Solutions who wanted to incorporate a QR code in to the design on the back of the receipt to give people a quick and easy way to access their website.
Most people assume that printed rolls can only be produced if there is massive volume but due to their flexible processes our suppliers are able to economically produce a few dozen boxes of printed rolls if required.
The quality is also extremely impressive as they use a lithographic process. (It needs to be to get a QR code to work reliably).
